Problems and Reasons of Ceramic Anilox Roller
A) Ceramic bumps

Phenomenon:
There are bumps on the surface, even there are cracks and rust on the ceramic surface. And it has a bump feeling when you touch by hands.
Reasons:
a) Because the bonding layer can’t protect very well and liquid infiltrate to steel substrate to be corroded.
b) Customers clean the ceramic roller with strong acid or alkali and destroy bonding layer.
B) Surface with circumferential scratches

Phenomenon: Can see bright lines in circumference by eye. Even you can feel concave by hand. The cells and
Reason: Some small hard particles were taken into the ink system, and then were taken to the anilox roller and embedded in the mesh. And when the roller rotates, the scraper will hit the hard particles, and the hard particles hit the wall, poor impact resistance, easily broken.
C) Patterns on the surface

Phenomenon: The surface of entire roller has circumferential irregular patterns.
The reason: Compactness of the ceramic coating is not enough, and uneven density.
Ceramic anilox roller problems and the reasons is related to the bonding strength, density and wear resistance, corrosion resistance, impact resistance. Therefore, we need to select a more suitable thermal spray materials based on these issues. NiCr 80/20 powder or NiAl95 / 5 wire can be used as the bonding material to make the coating have better bonding strength. Cr2O3 powder / Al2O3 powder can be used as the ceramic coatings. And the AlMg or ZnAl alloy material used in ceramic anilox corrosion-resistant coating. Besides the right materials, adjusting different spraying parameters still plays an important role in the process of spraying technology.
