Main properties and application of Zinc & Aluminum Based alloys
Pure Zinc can be used for long-term anti-atmospheric corrosion for steel structure. Zinc can be anti-corrosive even in the PH 6-12 environment. Spraying a thickness of 0.3mm zinc coating with an organic material can protect the steel structure in the atmosphere for up to 25 years. Pure Zinc can be used for electromagnetic interference shielding coating, with a high-energy decay shielding effect of 60-120 dB. It also can be used for transition coating of the non-metallic surface.
Pure Al wire can be used for protective coatings for atmosphere with SO2, fresh water, sea water, PH 4.5-8.5 solution and any other oxidizing environment of the steel structure. It can be used for high-temperature sealing coating. The coating has a high coefficient of friction, it can be made of friction resistance coating. So Aluminum wire can be also used as a non-slip coating on the deck of the ship.
Zn-Al 85/15 wire has a pretty good corrosion resistance protection effect. Zn-Al alloys are mainly used for outdoor protection of steel structure. Zn-Al alloys have very good anti-corrosion protection in the atmosphere, fresh water, seawater medium conditions. Zn-Al alloy wire can be used for arc spraying and flame spraying, when spraying Zn-Al 85/15 the zinc oxide smoke is much smaller than than spraying pure zinc.
