Spraying and Casting Target Materials

Spraying Preparation of metal targets is to make electric arc target material to molten or semi-molten status, with high-speed gas atomized to form small droplets and accelerated jet to the liner tube or liner plate surface, rapid cooling and solidification into a metal coating Laye. NiAl95/5, NiCr80/20, CuAl alloy, ZnAl alloy wire can be applied to the field of spray metal targets. Non-metallic and ceramic targets are usually produced by plasma spraying of powder materials. Cr2O3, Al2O3, NiCr80/20, SS316L powders can be used in ceramic targets or other metal targets.

Different production processes for thermal spraying target determine the different costs. The cost of producing a thermal spray target increases by the thickness of the target. Higher thickness, longer spraying time will increase the gas and energy consumption. We can adjust the spray process to achieve different sizes target.

International companies use the rotating cathode target of thermal spray process, because the utilization of the target is high, up to 80%, thus saving a lot of coating costs. Spaying rotary targets in the coating industry has been widely used.
