Spray Welding Gun Operation Manual
Spray welding process
1. Cleaning: Before the spray welding, the oil or other dirt on the surface workpiece must be clear and clean. If there is a hole, the oil hole must be cleaned. We at least should make sure the oil in the oil hole will not seep on the surface to be sprayed.
2. In order to ensure the uniformity of the thickness of the weld layer, the surface to be sprayed should be processed, but the temperature of the workpiece should be slightly higher than the indoor temperature, which will not rust or contaminate the surface of the workpiece during preheating.
3. If the surface has been oxidized or contaminated, it can be polished by sandpaper or grinding wheel without lubricant, or the surface of the workpiece can be sandblasted.
4. The preheating temperature of the workpiece is 200~300 ºC.
5. Spray the self-fluxing alloy powder until the required size, the workpiece rotation speed is between 20~50m/min.
6. Remelting: Remelting when the workpiece temperature is heated to about 500 ºC. When the workpiece is large, several remelting torches or high power remelting torch can be used.
Specifications and application
SF-1, SF-2, SF-4 metal powder spray torch is mainly used for spray welding. The front part has to be inserted into the bottom of body Ø16 hole, then tighten the coupling nut according to the size of the workpiece to be welded. Finally, the appropriate number of nozzles are selected and installed.
