Cobalt based powder for Thermal Spray coating
Thermal spray cobalt based alloy mainly including CoMoCrSi(Tribaloy) series alloy and CoCrNiWC(stellite) series alloy. Their common characteristic is anti-wear in high temperature, anti-thermal corrosion, anti-oxidant. The feature of CoMoCrSi alloy texture is disperse abundant Mo phase(including Mo silicide) onto soft cobalt based structure, the spray coating has good properties of anti-high temperature slide wear, anti-corrosion and anti-oxidant.

For the 7 column, Co-Mo 28% Cr 17% Si 3% and Co-Mo 28% Cr 8% Si 2% cobalt alloy, they are similar as our WD-Co400 and WD-Co800 alloy powder. Production process is water fog. HVOF thermal spray coating has good anti-corrosion property in reducibility atmosphere, oxidability atmosphere, inoxidizability atmosphere and seawater. The anti-thermal corrosion and antioxidant property is good at working temperature below 800℃. Co-Mo 28% Cr 17% Si 3% Si has high content of Cr element, it has better anti-corrosion and anti-wear properties. Also it can add Ta element, Co-Cr24% Ni-10% W-7% Ta 3.5% C 0.6%, the adding of Ta can increase anti-high temperature property. Gas atomization powder, Plasma thermal spray can be used for steam turbine combustor, blade wear repair.
Besides, for Co-Cr28% W 4% Ni 3% Fe 3% Si 1.5% C 1% Mo 1%, it is similar as our cobalt 6 alloy, it is Gas atomization powder. Coating compact, anti-high temperature and anti-wear. It is used in heating parts of turbine motor, etc. International brand is stellite 6.
Co-Cr 28% W 4% Ni 3% Fe 3% N 0.6% alloy, it is a heat-resisting alloy, too. It’s working temperature can reach 815℃(1500°F). HVOF thermal spray coating hardness is 48-50HRC, micro hardness is 775HV, porosity rate less than 2%, it can used for protection coating for hardfacing touch wear, axis, bearing, blade, etc.
