Wisdom Molybdenum wire

Molybdenum. The melting point of it is 2615 ℃.  It has high temperature strength, high thermal

conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient, low resistivity.     At room temperature, Mo form

chemically inert (corrosion in alkaline solution and sulfuric acid). It’s resistant to hydrofluoric acid

corrosion, but it’s not resistant to oxidizing acid, oxidant corrosion). In an oxidizing environment,

the maximum operating temperature of it is 315 ° C (More than this temperature Mo will be rapidly

oxidized and form volatile oxides which will intensify the oxidation ).

Molybdenum has good ductility. It can be processed and drawned into a wire, for thermal spraying.

Wisdom molybdenum wire popular diameter is 1.6mm, 2.0mm, the thickness is 3.17mm. Our molyb

denum coating has high hardness , good ductility, especially has good anti friction and wear, fretting

wear and scuffing behaviour, with low coefficient of sliding friction of steel material, running-in perfor

mance. In some circumstances it has solid lubricating properties, as well as anti-corrosion characteri

stics. Wisdom molybdenum wire are widely used in machinery, petroleum  , chemical, aerospace and

other fields for casting pump, valve, piston ring, electrical contacts.    Wisdom thermal spray molybde

num coating has good adhesion to steel which used as a self adhesive bonding layer.     (This kind of

molybdenum wire is sometimes called Sprabond wire) It can also be bonded to the ceramic and glass,

as a surface modification coating.     In recent years, the development of the spraying wire HOVF gun

(such as Hijet-9600) Wisdom spraying molybdenum wire used in steel substrate the bonding strength

is 40MPa, porosity rate is 0.2% to 0.5% , the surface has a roughness of 0.2 ~ 0.4um (Ra), the diamet

er of the molybdenum wire spraying 3.17mm coating spraying efficiency 2.5kg/h, the deposition rate is

67%.
